333 N. Dearborn Parkway is as prestigious a location as can be found in Downtown Chicago. 1998 saw the location become home to the iconic House of Blues Hotel. Then in 2006, the property was sold and eventually renamed The Hotel Sax. The name change lasted until the start of 2014, when the property merged with Marriott International Inc.’s Autograph Collection. To kick off the occasion, the Hotel was aptly named Hotel Chicago.

Hotel Chicago name change came with signage changes

When Hotel Chicago was ready to change their outdoor signage, they called Landmark Sign Group, again. We were honored to take the call.

The scope of work included the removal of the existing 6’ x 33’-6” projecting building-mounted signs. Those signs were taken back to the Landmark Sign shop where they were refaced with new externally painted aluminum faces. From there, the Hotel Chicago signs were decorated with custom spot welded reverse-LED illuminated aluminum channel letters along with logos reading, “Hotel Chicago.” To complete the look , Landmark Sign fabricated and installed a new 6’ x 14’ double-sided aluminum cabinet with reverse-LED illuminated channel letters reading, “Hotel Chicago.” Once the signs were ready to go, they were placed in the care of Landmark Sign Group’s expert installation team who braved the cold and downtown traffic to place the new signs in their home on Dearborn.
