Formerly known as Unitrin, Kemper Corporation is one of America's leading insurance providers. Located at One East Wacker Drive in Chicago, the 41-story steel and marble Unitrin Building was completed in 1962. It is now the 72nd tallest building in the City of Chicago.

After Landmark Sign Group removed and disposed of the Unitrin letters, the new logoset was placed by helicopter and Landmark’s installation crew onto the existing superstructure on the 40th floor. The signs – one on the north face of the building and the other on the south face - consist of a LED illuminated stylized ‘K’ followed by the word ‘KEMPER’. The Logo is a 6” deep channel box with a panaflex face digitally printed with a gradient effect. The Kemper letter faces are milk white acrylic with 1-1/2” aluminum f-channel retainers in place of the atypical trimcap used. The letters weigh an average of 430 lbs. each and are also 6” deep.

Midwest Helicopter Airways' Sikorsky S58T Helicopter arrived precisely at 9am on a breezy, but sunny Sunday morning. Hovering over State Street and Wacker on the Chicago River, he dropped his cable to hook to the first of 14 total pieces. In 1 hour and 5 minutes, team Landmark had installed Kemper Corporation’s newest landmark to the city of Chicago.
